In case you haven’t heard, we’ve got lots of amazing things coming to Reading Rainbow in 2013. Most of it is hush, hush right now, but one thing I’m excited to talk about is our new partnership with National Geographic Kids. If you and your kids have our Reading Rainbow library service app for the iPad then you probably noticed a big “Coming Soon” island in our worlds of reading. This spring, we will be unlocking this island and your kids will have access to many of National Geographic Kids most popular book series including exciting books filled with beautiful photography only National Geographic can deliver as well as books from the National Geographic Little Kids Look & Learn series of picture books for pre-readers.
I promised you that the Reading Rainbow app would continually evolve, and with this partnership with National Geographic Kids, we deliver on that promise. With hundreds of books and video field trips in our library, and more being added every week, our app continues to be the best resource for children to develop the love of reading that is so important to their futures.
With this and other great changes coming to the Reading Rainbow app, 2013 is going to be a great year, where we can inspire our children through new experiences to “Go anywhere. Be anything.” But, you don’t have to take my word for it.
Reading Rainbow’s mission is to inspire a love of reading in children and connect them to the world they live in through quality literature so they believe that they, “can go anywhere, be anything.”
